Introduction

Multibanco is a portuguese interbank network. It is the largest interbank network in Portugal. MULTIBANCO is a reference brand of the SIBS Group.

Created on September 2, 1985 with the installation of the ATM network, along with a series of operations that have been implemented over the years, including payment for services, payments to the State, charging mobile phones and charging passes, among other.


With the recent reorganization of the Group, the MULTIBANCO brand currently represents the Network of Automatic Teller Machine Terminals (CA/ATM) and Automatic Payment Terminals (TPA/POS).
Currently, the MULTIBANCO Network offers more than 90 features, some of which have been awarded at European level.

Multibanco in itself does not only encompass ATMs. The MB network consists of MB-Multibanco, MB-way, MB-net, MB-Spot, MB-phone
